In my trans-disciplinary Postdoctoral research I am brokering new art/science collaborations whilst continuing my explorations into innovative art/science practices. My artworks are grounded in the interconnectedness between the biomedical sciences and twenty first century perceptions of the “self”. They are structured to facilitate individual viewer immersion and completion through participation - either in real-time or virtually. I re-position installation viewers as active participants rather than passive observers of pre-existing systems. I focus on reinterpreting the research data from my scientific experiments and recontextualising it in interactive artworks, using a range of media.

i work mostly with interactive art and video. also i edit online journal about new media and new music (www.hz-journal.org) and curate video and net art to widen general interest in those areas. one of my video works is archived on DVD compilation from Aspect Personas & Personalities, Vol 7.

I am interested in work that involves politics, gender and ethnic stereotypes, privilege, power, and science fiction/fantasy. I have also worked in several nonprofit art organizations and am very interested in visual and media literacy and education.

I am interested in the social and philosophical implications that exist when one realizes that ‘seeing is not believing', since it is within the limits of our perceptual framework that we interpret and act within the world. My work focuses on the construction of realities through our perceptual faculties, with the conceptual basis of the work determining the method and material used in its expression. This has included the use of interactive digital electronics as well as low-tech means in exploring themes as varied as abstract narrative, boundaries relating to physical and intangible properties, issues of trespass, and the mating behavior of hermaphroditic flatworms.

I am currently a BFA student at CSU, Chico with an option in Electronic Art and an emphasis in Multimedia. I have worked as a graphic design intern on campus for over two years now and am currently beginning my fifth year in school. I've been involved with many things throughout my college career, including studying abroad for a semester in Spain, being an active member on the waterski team, and various other clubs and organizations available on campus. I love art and am currently developing my personal theme and artist statement for my graduating exhibition I'll be having this spring. I am also developing my own personal website at the moment and will be uploading it here when it's completed and live.

Rachelle Beaudoin is a new media artist who uses video, wearables, and performance to explore feminine iconography, role modeling, and “raunch culture.” She attended the College of the Holy Cross where she studied Studio Art and played ice hockey. She holds a Master’s degree in Digital+Media from Rhode Island School of Design

Marie Sivak is an interdisciplinary artist working in sculpture,installation, video, performance and drawing. Her critically acclaimed work combines traditional stone carving techniques with embedded and projected video. Her work investigates the psychology of memory and the nature of human relationships in contemporary terms. She is represented by AIR gallery in Brooklyn, New York.

Born in Paris, I'm a VJ now based in Lille, North of France, with eclectic musical tastes that reflect in the diversity of live video acts I bring to gigs, parties and festivals across France and Europe.

My main project right now is Strap-on dildoS, with the UrbanPorn crew : an activist collective made of visual artists, musicians, performers, dancers and "sex workers for free" ! Sharing the same critical views on culturally-established habits, the "Strapettes" aim at deconstructing normative discourses about gender, sexual practices and identities, by means of porn workshops and performances in the public space.

My videos and films often interrogate the viewer's desire to ascribe Japanese femininity to my work, an imperative of Western culture wherein the "artist-as-other" must reference identity politics as a primary footnote to their work.

Marina Zurkow makes psychological, animated narratives about humans and their relationship to animals, plants and the weather. These have taken the form of multi-channel videos, customized multi-screen computer pieces, cartoons, and interactive mobile works.
